Oh, NO!

I have just read the most horrible news. The purse from my previous post that I made for the Amy Butler Bag Swap has been stolen. Here's the whole story:

I feel so bad. What is this world coming to?

Amy Butler purse swap

Well, my Amy Butler purse is on its way but I can't say where because it's a secret - SHHH!
I used Amy's Frenchy bag pattern and 2 fabrics from her Belle line. The main fabric is Acanthus Olive which my partner mentioned was her favorite Amy Butler fabric. (So, if that was you - don't look any further).
Here is the bag I made:

and the inside:

I must be honest and say that my daughter is pretty mad that I mailed this one off - it it were up to her, it would be hers. I am now waiting for her to pick out her fabrics and that will be my next project.

And while I am posting pictures, here is one of the 2 men in my life:

Aren't they cute? (and sor some reason the pic is cropped funny - its blogspot and not me - lol)

Pay It Forward

pay_it_forward[1]

I am so excited to be a part of and to share with you something that has been happening in blogland... "Pay it Forward". I'm not sure who originated it, but I am glad to be a part of it. I really think we need to spread a little love and take part in random acts of kindness.
Anyway, I was the 3rd person in line on Aunt Pitty Pats (http://auntpittypats.blogspot.com/) blog! She emailed me and told me to go ahead and post about the "PIF" event here on my blog. So without further ado...... here's the way it works! I've signed up and commit to send the next 3 people who sign up here on my blog - a little something handmade by me - a goodie package within 365 days. By signing up- YOU agree to Pay it Forward to the next 3 people who sign up with you (on your blog) and send them something within 365 days.
Ready to Pay It Forward? Spread the love and sign up! Please leave a contact email so I can confirm details with you.
Thanks,
Tammy
Let's keep the chain going.....

Amy Butler apron swap

My apron for Mommy Holly's amy Butler apron swap is completed and on its way. And since my partner doesn't know who her apron is coming from - I will post a couple of pics, first DD modeling:

My partner likes green and wanted a full apron. I used some of the Daisy Chain fabric and Amy Butler's Domestic Goddess Apron pattern. Here is a close up of the fabric:

I had a lot of fun making this apron and think I may just have to make myself one - I may even use the same fabric. I just hope my partner likes it too.

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

The Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice apron was due in the mail the first of February. I had a lot of fun making this apron and putting the package together - it really put me in the Valentine mood. Here is the apron I made (being modeled by my dear daughter):

And to the package, I added a cookie cutter and some candy:

This package went to Paula who just started her blog so if you get the chance, stop over and visit her: http://thevilulateagarden.blogspot.com/

I received this package full of goodies:

and this apron:

My apron is beautiful. It came from Terisa at http://www.sabiiwabii.blogspot.com/.
Thank you so much!

Nappy Bag

I can't believe its been amost a month since I've posted but it has. And I can't believe that I haven't posted the Amy Butler Nappy bag that I made yet.
I took the week after Christmas off to do a couple of things - clean my house, spend time with my daughter, and make the Amy Butler Nappy bag for a friend of mine at work that is expecting her baby any day now. I had been wanting to make this bag for some time but no one was having a baby. My friend wanted something too babyish and something boyish (since she's expecting a boy) and this is what I made:

And I also made the changing pad:

I hope she likes it.
